Honey Roasted Carrots Recipe

A Honey Roasted Carrots recipe that are really easy to make and require only a few ingredients that are typically kept in the cupboard. These Honey Caramelized Roasted Carrots are the ideal side dish for any meal, but they are also wonderful for any holiday because they are delicious and have an incredible honey caramelized finish.

    Ingredients You’ll Need

    Carrots –

For the very greatest flavor, I used carrots that were freshly grown in my garden. A stunning appearance can also be achieved by maintaining the stalk in place. If you want to leave a lasting impression on your dinner guests, give this a shot the next time you play host.

    Oil –

When I want the greatest results, I make sure to use olive oil of a good grade.

    Honey –

Make use of the honey of your choice. There is always the option to use brown sugar, maple syrup, or agave syrup as a suitable replacement.

    Onion – Garlic

To add a hint of garlic flavor, you will need to use some garlic powder.

    Parsley –

To give the carrots a splash of color and complement the flavor, one of my go-to garnishes is fresh parsley.

How to Make Honey-Roasted Carrots With a Step-by-Step Guide

    Start the preheating process:

Prepare the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

    Prepare the honey mixture by:

Olive oil, honey, garlic powder, salt, and pepper should be mixed together in a small basin using a whisk.

    Prepare carrots:

Place the carrots in a single layer on a baking pan and set it in the oven. The honey mixture should be drizzled over the carrots, and then the carrots should be tossed in order to ensure that they are completely covered in the honey mixture.

    Carrots should be roasted first:

Put the baking sheet in the oven and roast the carrots for about 25 to 30 minutes, or until they are soft and have started to turn brown.

    Decorate, and then serve:

Serve as soon as possible and garnish with some fresh parsley.

After they have cooled, place the honey roasted carrots in a container that cannot be opened and keep them in the refrigerator for three to five days.

    Can You Freeze Cooked Carrots?

Carrots, after cooked, can be stored in the freezer for up to 9 months. They will keep their flavor and the value of the nutrients they contain, but their hardness and texture will change. You may put carrot soup in the freezer, along with roasted carrots, mashed carrots, carrots blended with other vegetables, and even pureed carrots.

Tips from an Expert for Honey-Roasted Carrots

    • The amount of time required to bake the carrots may change depending on their thickness. You need to keep cooking them until they can easily be pierced with a fork.
    • Experiment with different combinations of spices to create unique flavor profiles. Consider spicing up the honey mixture with a little bit of cinnamon or nutmeg.
    • You may also use baby carrots if that is more convenient for you.
    • Alternately, you may use the same quantity of brown sugar, agave syrup, or maple syrup for a change.
    • These carrots go wonderfully with just about any type of meat or poultry, including chicken, turkey, hog, or beef.
    • You can experiment with applying this honey combination to a variety of vegetables, such as brussels sprouts, asparagus, or butternut squash.

When I roast my carrots, do I need to peel them first?

It is all up to you to decide! You really don’t need to peel them if you wash them really well to get rid of any debris that might be on them. The only difference in flavor is that peeling them takes a little bit more time, but otherwise, they have the same flavor in either case.
