Rising vaccine hesitancy

The pandemic has disrupted & delayed many areas of most families' life in recent years. 

Multiple children's routine immunisation appointments have been put off due to the many triage circumstances. 

Parents have had to manage, such as a positive case in the household, juggling childcare & job commitments, or tiredness. 

As the epidemic nears its third year, more paediatricians are warning about missing & delayed vaccines. 

A July 2022 report from UNICEF & WHO on worldwide vaccination data warned of the "biggest persistent decrease in childhood vaccinations. 

In about 30 years," noting a global tally of more than 25 million children who missed one or more doses of the DTP3 vaccine. 

Vaccine interruptions have created a "perfect storm" danger for measles outbreaks in youngsters. 

"Child health is in danger." Childhood immunisation has dropped the most in a generation. 

UNICEF Executive Director Catherine Russell warned the report will cost lives.
