Some Returned Discontinued Beers

Beer is great. In 2018, Americans drank 6.3 billion gallons of beer, or 26.2 gallons per adult. The thirsty people can try everything from big brewers' latest goods to craft beers. One of your favourite beers may disappear. 

Catamount Brewing Company was founded in Vermont in 1984. In 2000, Bay Brewing Company bought Catamount & reopened it as Harpoon Brewery with a beer garden & pub.

PBR was almost discontinued a few years ago owing to a dispute with MillerCoors, who brews it. The corporations worked out an extension & PBR will remain around for the foreseeable future.

Pittsburgh's yellow beer is best known for its Super Steelers commemorative cans, one of the rare instances an active pro sports organisation appeared on alcohol products.

Steeltown

This 1986 beer was matured in enormous oak tanks & macerated with sour cherries. Beer black market bottles once cost $1,000.

Rodenbach

In 2021, the Massachusetts brewery honoured 10 years by re-releasing Patriarch, an abbey-style single ale. It's available at the brewery's taproom & in cans.

Patriarch Idle Hands

Great Northern Brewing Company's Montana branch closed in 2020 after 25 years. In 2021, the owner negotiated with Uinta Brewing out of Salt Lake City, Utah, under a licencing arrangement.
